Email Verify API - Get Started
Welcome to the Dexatel Email Verify API documentation. This guide walks you through the steps required to get started with verifying users by sending one-time passwords (OTPs) via email. Designed for simplicity, security, and speed, this API helps you enhance account registration, login, and transaction flows with reliable email-based verification.
Step 1 – Account Registration
To start using the Email Verify API, you’ll need to create a Dexatel account.
- Go to Dexatel.com and click the “Start for Free” button.
- Fill in your personal and business information.
- Log in to your Dexatel account to access the dashboard.
Step 2 – Generating API Key
Your API key is used to authenticate your API requests.
- In your Dexatel dashboard, go to the “API Keys” section.
- Click “Create a Key” and give it a recognizable name (e.g., “Email Verify Integration”).
- Copy and securely store your API key — you’ll need it for all Email Verify requests.
Step 3 – Register an Email Sender
All verification emails are sent from [email protected] by default. However, you may register a custom-friendly sender name to personalize the "From" field in the emails.
- Navigate to the “Senders” section in your Dexatel dashboard.
- Click the “Add Sender” button and pick Email channel.
- Fill in your desired sender name (e.g., "MyCompany Support") and submit the application.
- Dexatel’s tech support team will manually review your request to ensure it's valid and compliant with anti-abuse policies.
- Once approved, your sender name will be reflected in all outgoing OTP emails.
