Viber Get Started

In this guide, the steps need to be taken for the activation and utilization of Viber Business Messaging services through Dexatel.

Once a Viber sender is activated, sending verification messages, marketing, and transactional notifications are facilitated through a single API.

  1. Create a Dexatel Account

If you don’t have an account yet, please sign up on the Dexatel platform. It’s necessary to have an account with a proper balance in order to apply for Viber Business Messaging.

  1. Request Viber Business Messaging

To enable the use of the Viber service:

  1. First, open the Senders section of your Dexatel account.
  2. Click the Add Sender button to make a request for Viber Business Messaging services.

If you have an insufficient balance, you will be asked to top up so that you can proceed.

Viber charges an active monthly sender maintenace fee.

As a result, the sender request would be submitted only if your balance is adequate to make the monthly payment.

  1. Provide Business Information

Following the submission of the request:

  • A representative of Dexatel will contact you

  • Further business information may be sought

  • The entire registration process for Viber will be handled by Dexatel

  1. Account Activation & Testing

After all information is collected and entered:

  • Viber activates business account within 3-7 business days.

  • Dexatel will test your sender for successful delivery of messages

  • You will get a confirmation notification when the activation procedure is completed and the service is ready for use.

Upon activation, you may immediately start sending Viber messages via the API.

Dexatel supports all standard types of Viber messages.

Template messages that are pre-approved are not required while initiating any of these message types.

One-time passwords & verification codes are sent via the Verify API.
