Voice Calls API - Get Started
Welcome to the Dexatel Voice Call API documentation. This guide will help you get started with initiating two-way, real-time voice conversations through the Dexatel platform. With just a few simple steps, you can start connecting callers directly via API.
Step 1 – Account Registration
To start using the Email Verify API, you’ll need to create a Dexatel account.
- Go to Dexatel.com and click the “Start for Free” button.
- Fill in your personal and business information.
- Log in to your Dexatel account to access the dashboard.
Step 2 – Generating API Key
Your API key is used to authenticate your API requests.
- In your Dexatel dashboard, go to the “API Keys” section.
- Click “Create a Key” and give it a recognizable name (e.g., “Email Verify Integration”).
- Copy and securely store your API key — you’ll need it for all Email Verify requests.
Step 3 - Activation of Voice Call API for your account
The voice call API access is disabled by default and requires individual account approval and configuration. To request the activation of the voice call api:
- Once your Dexatel account is set up, identify your account manager or the primary contact point provided during the registration process.
- Contact your account manager directly, or contact Dexatel support via email or live chat to request activation of your account's Voice Call API. Provide any necessary details about your use case. Your account manager will guide you through the activation process, including any specific requirements or configurations for your account.
Step 4 – Starting Your First Voice Call
Once your account and API key are ready, you can initiate your first call using the Dexatel Voice Call API.
- Refer to the Voice Call API Reference for request parameters and example payloads.
- Use your API key to authenticate the request.
- To use a static Dexatel-owned number associated with your account, contact customer support to enable and configure it for your account.
- Send your first API request to start a live two-way call between the specified participants.
That’s it — your first real-time voice conversation is ready to go.
