Step 1 - Account Registration

Before you can use the Dexatel WhatsApp Verify API, you need to have a Dexatel account. Here's how to create one:

  1. Go to Dexatel.com and click the "Start for Free" button.
  2. Complete the registration form with your name and business email address.
  3. Confirm your email address by clicking on the link sent to your inbox.
  4. Once your email is verified, follow the instructions to finalize your account verification and setup.

Step 2 - Registering a WhatsApp Business Account

To send messages via WhatsApp, you must register a WhatsApp Business account and connect it with Dexatel. Here are the basic prerequisites and steps:


  • A valid business name and details.
  • An approved Facebook Business page and admin access to the Facebook Business Management Portal.
  • A mobile phone number not currently used with WhatsApp (either WhatsApp Messenger or WhatsApp Business App).


  1. In your Dexatel dashboard, click Add Channel, then click Add next to the WhatsApp section. Once you have done this, WhatsApp will be listed in the Channels section of the left-hand menu.
  2. Click the newly added WhatsApp section, pick Get Access from the drop-down, and click Start Now.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions and provide all the business details required for the WhatsApp Business Account application with Meta.
  4. Submit your application. One of the Dexatel team members will review it and contact you to coordinate future process steps. Dexatel will then work with WhatsApp to verify your business, which typically takes 5 - 7 business days, depending on various factors.

Step 3 - Creation and Approval of the Authentication Template

After your WhatsApp Business Account is approved, the last step of the process is creating the authentication template. WhatsApp requires pre-approved message templates for initiating user conversations, including authentication messages.

Creating a Template:

  • In the WhatsApp section in the left-hand navigation menu of your Dexatel dashboard, click the WhatsApp Templates option.
  • Click the Create Template button. Provide the template name and template category (make sure you pick Authentication), and pick your approved Sender ID from the drop-down. To submit your template, click the "Save and Send for Approval" button.

Approval Process:

  • Submit your template for approval through the Dexatel dashboard.
  • WhatsApp will review your template, which typically takes up to 48 hours.
  • Once approved, you can use the template to send authentication messages via the WhatsApp Verify API.
    Remember, your message templates must comply with WhatsApp's policies, including clarity and correctness, and avoid promotional content in authentication messages.
